On the work-front, with last year's museums restructuring under the city running into this year's museum reno wrap up, it's been a flying by the seat of your pants with nose to the grindstone kinda time!
With cycling competition goals readjusted after some spring set backs I've been logging solid km's on the bike while making a marked effort to enjoy the beauty of fleeting summer at the same time. Gotta have balance. As learned my first year of structured training in 2011, taking advantage of longer daylight hours to get as much "real" bike time in as possible means summer goes by really fast!
The introduction of training and competition into my life alongside full time work has led to a daily schedule that is very much compartmentalized, with time managed into big blocks decorated by a scattering of meetings and other duties (literally.. lots of boxes in the day planner with labels like: "Work @ WHM", "Lead Spin - HE", "Work @ NFHM", "Sprint Workout", "subLT Workout", "Travel Day", "Race" and "Rest").
What does busy mean to me? Let's skip over the housecleaning and general daily junk to get to the things I really enjoy! When I do talk (rare), I ramble, so I'll post in a series.. maybe it'll build anticipation and make up for lack of posts? ;D
In no particular order: #1 Racing & Training, #2 Work, #3 R & R.
