This is part of a series of posts in a long overdue blog update...
I do believe that this is the most exciting time in the history of all three City of Niagara Falls Museums combined (apart from their initial opening)! Thanks to a huge amount of government and community support, the Niagara Falls History Museum is near completion of a major renovation & expansion project that will see it become the world class facility that a world renowned city deserves. Not only are the museums responsible for the care and preservation of the city's history but also interpretation of one of the most significant battles in a war that formed this country's identity and NFHM is the only place to see the real goods! So, mark July 21st Grand Opening on your calendar and come check out the new diggs!
|Be there! July 21st NFHM @ 5810 Ferry Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario|
As one of two Assistant Curators I get to do all of the fun stuff! ;) working directly with the artefact collection in its care, research and exhibition as well as developing and delivering educational programmes, tours and events. Through some shifting and restructuring a creative and energetic team has been created and, well yeah.. exciting times at all three sites: Battle Ground Hotel Museum (little known detaily: that's me in the green dress), Willoughby Historical Museum and Niagara Falls History Museum!
